I HAVE NOTICED ALOT OF THE YOUNGER QVC HOSTS HAVE THIS RASPY VOICE. IS THIS A NEW FAD OF TALKING?

No, it does not. It's when someone's voice drops in register at the end of a word or sentence. It's very common and has been for many years. Both men and women do it, but in 2011 it became one more thing to hate on women for doing.
This American Life did a fantastic story on it in 2015. The show gets a lot of emails about women's vocal fry, but Ira Glass points out he also does vocal fry (he always has) and no one has ever emailed the show to complain about it, they only complain about the women doing it. You can hear the story here: https://www.thisamericanlife.org/545/if-you-dont-have-anything-nice-to-say-say-it-in-all-caps/act-tw...

Carol Channing comes to mind....she had a raspy voice! I can't say I notice anyone around my neck of the woods doing that.
