It's not difficult to design a board that isn't so fussy and cluttered.

Wow!  Somebody doesn't know how to do code.    They can't possibly be finished yet - or something.

I really don't want to whine, but - seriously!

I did figure out one thing - this site is no longer compatible with IE.   I came back on a Chrome browser and, while it looks like something from WAY in the past, at least the lines and columns are where they should (?) be.

The font is pretty small.  I guess if you want to fix that you have to do so each time you post.    Haven't found the 'quote' thing yet but the posts I've seen where they did have the post quoted twice.

This is one big mess.

Is there an undo button?   I want the old boards back.

If you're not on IE, can you see all the icons at the top of the post/reply box?  I wonder if that's why so many people can't find the emoticons...for me, the only icon that's showing (on IE) is the one to insert a spoiler...and I see several people inadvertently inserting spoiler boxes, so figured they must be mistaking that for a smiley.

Agree it feels like the boards aren't finished yet!

Which version of IE are you using? It looks fine on my IE (version 10) and in Chrome.

Quote is to the4 top right of the text field. Click the word QUOTE to add your quote to the text box.

If you click you name in the top right of the window, you can edit your preferences, including font size.

Yeah, somehow I inadvertently posted in the spoiler thing on my first post.  Oops!   The spoiler tag thing is really good.    I use it on other boards.  It probably won't be used here, because people tend to think that posting spoilers is ok here.

I figured out a few things from the settings (below on the left).  I changed the style to 'Forum Style' and that made it a little better.

There are a lot of preferences and settings in there, some of which I have no idea what they are and some of which make sense and are helpful.

I was using IE11.   Maybe I'll try it again later.  Things look like I think they intended them to look on Chrome - I guess.  ha!    But when I first came here on IE11 everything was all jumbled up.  The tool line was on this big, long pillowy thing that must have covered about 20 or 30 lines, above the posting box.  The banners were all weird.   Strange!     I did find the quote thing.  Well, I didn't but somebody else on another forum here told me about it.

Wow...this is kind of a sensory overload. I'll adjust though. I'm not going to be one of those people who leaves the forum because they do not like change. That has happened in the past. Is anyone else getting topics like "Shop by Category" at the top of the page piled on top of other topics? Guess it will take awhile to get the bugs out.

ITA.....I'm willing to work with this. It IS very, very, very cluttered. So much could've been deleted, I'm all about clean & efficient....ah, um....not this.
