Vionic has gone downhill, in my experience.  Their "arch support" used to be consistent; now it's like walking on rocks or on nothing at all.

I bought a pair of ballerina flats and the arch support was not where it should have been, it was too far back into the heel space.  It was just weird.

I never had a problem with the sandals being like that.

Now they are just too expensive and I like my Sketchers better.

@CelticCrafter   I used to buy Vionic all the time and those shoes really helped my back issue while walking.  Also Naot used to help but right now they are out of my price range.

I agree about the arch support being in an odd spot lately, too.

I recently (more or less) watched a presentation of a brand (don't recall which one). The arch support did seem out of place to me.

Too far back in the foot bed, imo.

At the time, I thought it was just my imagination.  (Isn't that a song?).   (Just My Imagination)  (The Temptations)

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

@Cakers3    This is very true and the quality is poor.  I think many of us recognize from our experience that Vionics are greatly overpriced.

Stella McCartney has faux leather sandals for $975 on her website.  Like it or not everyone on the country is not struggling to make ends meet.  A whole lot of people have a whole lot of money.  I don't think $90 is high for well-made sandals thar will last for several years.

On the shoe topic - I was at dr today and they recommend "Oofos" sandals.

These are manmade but are made out of rubber and they claim they are extremely good for arch support and comfort.

I posted on "shoes" but maybe someone here has opinion on them. (They are $79 a pair & more).

thank you!

@homedecor1   I have seen the commercials for Oofos.  They have styles as low as $59.95.

I have been looking into this brand for walking around the house since I have tile floors.  The reviews I have seen are very positive.

The only problem is that they do not come in wides so some styles may not be suitable  unless you go with the thong style.

They do have the APMA seal of approval, too.

My running shoes are man made materials and cost twice what these sandals do. My Rothy’s flats are all man made and cost more too.

And QVC didn’t make up this price. They’re the same price on the avionics web site.

Thank you so much for the recommendation.  I just placed an order for a pair of their slides.  They look awesome.  I'm constantly on the lookout for a pair of comfy slides for wearing around the house.  Everything out in the marketplace is so hard and uncomfortable to me. I have one pair of Champion slides from ten years ago that are falling apart but I can't bear to get rid of them. These look like a great replacement judging from the reviews.
