Ok. I bought what became the TSV a few days ago. QVC offered the item at a different price and I thought it would make good gifts, so I ordered it. Now today comes along and the item is offered at a reduced price. Well, I did call customer service and they did tell me that they could refund the difference but-they could not apply the VIPTSV5 code. Why not? I asked. They could not, because I didn't buy the item on the day the TSV was being offered. So, instead of applying the discount of $2.50 (which I later found out that's what it would have been) they chose to refuse as I let myself be angrier. To tell you the truth, if you have been a customer, than they should have honored that. I, personally think that they should not have sold the item earlier, knowing it was going to be a TSV. TSV's used to be a special item that you couldn't buy beforehand. Anyway, I was totally ****** at the way QVC handled this. Of course I could stop purchasing things, and make this easier on myself and my wallet.

When more than a week I just chalk it up to bad luck. It has happened to me many times. I think it's great they're refunding you the difference in price.
Re not giving you the add'l 5% off - well you didn't purchase it as the TSV or on the day of the TSV. Perfectly understandable to me.
For $2.50 you'd even consider no longer buying from them?

The associate handled your situation appropriately since the price was reduced within 30 days. If the coupon code was not active when you purchased, you simply aren't entitled to special treatment to retroactively apply it, no matter how long you have been a customer.

From your post @tundracat it sounds like you want special treatment because you are a customer? Aren't we all customers that purchase and take a risk that prices may go down, or, they may go up. Everywhere I shop the prices can change.
When I purchase something, from anywhere, I know that the price is right for me and should the price go down I must accept this and move on. I just won't buy anything if I think I'm paying more than I would like. I wait until the item is worth the price I pay. I never look back.
The QVC rep handled your situation exactly as it should be.

The anger your body is feeling over QVC's protocol is not worth the $2.50 you lost IMHO.

Sorry @tundracat
Agree w/ the CS rep.
VIPTSV5 is ONLY good on the day OF the TSV and can't be used more than once. The system doesn't allow it.
Just following the rules unfortunately.
I feel you got angrier over a very minimal amount of money! Sometimes it happens, an item anywhere, is less than what I paid....futile to get so rilled about it.

This has nothing to do with the OP's rant, but I find it ridiculous that they don't automatically deduct that pathetic 5% discount from the Q card holder's TSV purchase. They make you apply the discount code. It's a nonsensical inconvenience.

Something else...
I, too, am a long time QVC customer. QVC often offers a special discount code when the order is placed through the app and/or charged to a Q-card.
I don't own a Q-card, don't want one.
I am also old fashioned and use the browser instead of the app.
According to certain logic, I guess I should be upset when I don't get the discount or special financing when I want to do things MY WAY. The thing is, it's their company and THEY (QVC) set the terms, not me.

@tundracat @I don't understand why you are venting. QVC is struggling to stay in business, if they followed your logic it wouldn't be long before the doors closed. It's only $2.50 not hundreds, so I suggest you need to change your mindset that you are special. You are a customer that chooses to buy product from.a company that has set guidelines. If you don't buy the TSV on the day it appears then you are not entitled to it. How anyone would get angry over such minutia is a head scratcher

Guess everyone needs to vent sometimes, but I think it's great you got the price adjustment. I think it's great QVC still offers it, though I wonder for how much longer.
I would never think to apply a discount code that wasn't applicable.
My feelings are that if I miss out on a savings, it's just my luck, then I move on. Life's too short.
