IMO, it is very scary getting a vaccine with so many unknowns.  Who knows if it is really effective and if it is, for how long?

We are flying by the seat f,our pants!  In the meantime, the state of PA has mandatory mask wearing in place.  If we go outside, we need a mask.

@Carmie, I understand your trepidation. But I like what I've been hearing so far. We'll probably be able to get our vaccinations in the spring, and so we will know more about the results and the safety by then. Meanwhile, I'm leading more towards being very happy than very scared.

I think your state's mandate is very wise.

We have had a mandatory mask rule in place since early last spring.  Our numbers have been  going up anyway.  The masks are not very effective, maybe a bit helpful, but not by much.

This virus is kicking our butts!

@Carmie

I agree that the virus is kicking all our butts. I also would bet money that even where there are mask mandates, a large number of people don’t comply all of the time. If people really wore masks (correctly) all the time when they should, and actually practiced social distancing and, on top of that, stayed home whenever possible, things would not be quite as bad as they are.

I really don’t think we have done much as a country to fight the virus. Sacrifice doing things we want to do? Some people have been doing that but “some people” doing it isn’t enough. I’m seriously angry at people complaining they are tired of it all. Who isn’t? We need to fight this as if our lives depend on it. Because they do.

Re: 💉 Vaccine: Public Service Announcement 😷

@willdob3   We, as humans can try our best to fight viruses, but we cannot stop them easily.

Our Medical front line workers are geared up in hazmat suits, still, they are getting the virus.  It is difficult to fight something we can't see, can't hear and can't taste.  Our enemy is invisible except under a microscope.  It is difficult to Imagine something so small can do so much damage to us.

It surely knocks the wind out of us.  Humans do not have control over everything we think we do. We are so small in the scheme of things.

Many people are 100% doing what they are told do and they still get sick. Some are living life as normal and they are well. It is difficult to figure out the rhyme or reason.

All we can do is be diligent the best we can and pray.
