What does being a QVC VIP mean?  What are the perks?

Yes, I  received an email about joining the ShopHQ VIP.

What the heck, I was shocked to see this email. That is crazy, 16.95 a month, I do not think so.

"For a monthly VIP rate of $16.95, ShopHQ VIP members will receive unlimited free shipping for purchases and returns on ShopHQ as well as 5% cash back on all ShopHQ purchases. In addition, ShopHQ VIP members will be eligible for cash back and shipping benefits at over 1,000 other retailers who are part of ShopHQ’s special VIP network."

I think you'd have to do a lot of shopping at ShopHQ in order for this to pay off - it's $204 per year.

At $204 annually, do the math how much you would have to spend to recoup your membership. I don't think this ship will sail.

It sounds like you have to submit a claim for recoupment of shipping charges and  then you will get a monthly check.  Maybe if you shop a lot there and with the other retailers it could pay off but they probably count on many forgetting to submit claims.

Sounds like retailers are getting creative in drawing in consumers.

This thread reminded me of a QVC survey I received several months ago about my shopping habits; there were many questions about Amazon Prime, and would I consider paying a monthly fee to receive "free" shipping here (no), questions like that.  I wonder if QVC is going to offer this too.
