That's the thing that marks out prescriptions, etc.

 

I used to buy those all of the time.  Then one day an empty bottle (lid off) fell into some water in the sink.

 

It immediately sunk to the bottom.  A few minutes later I got it out.

 

I took my fingernail and withing about 1 minute (OK, maybe 2) I was able to totally skim off the entire prescription written on the bottle.

 

As far as the papers all you have to do is shred them.  That way no one can ever get anything off if them.

 

It's very difficult to move that thing around a prescription bottle.

 

Just put it in some water.  Come back in a few minutes and it will scrap off and I guarantee you no one will ever see what was on it.  

 

Try it, it takes a few minutes and works better than that roller thing.

My address is public record and I frankly don't care if anyone sees that I have a prescription for ibuprofen and levothyroxine.

 

Yes, the shredder works well for disposing of old banking material, or tax info, etc.

 

I don't need those things.  I can see where they may have a place, though.
