Gato......I think it must be your bank because it has never happened to me at Chevron. In fact, I always have an odd amount like $27.32 because I fill my tank based on how many gallons I want not the price. The exact price including cents is always in pending.

This has been a common practice at gas stations for years. Last I heard typical was $75. Maybe it's gone up. Gas stations get stuck for charges by people who don't have credit limit or account balance by the time the charage goes through.
