Yes they do charge..I needed to return a cable box the cable company sent a label..

I called UPS for a pick up and they said it would be $7.95 for them to come up my driveway!...

It gets better ..they said if I FLAG down a UPS truck the driver will take it for free!!! OK sure I'm going to stand on a main road and wait for a truck to come by????

Called the cable company and told them to send me a Fed-x return label...Walgreens takes Fed-x returns as long as you have a pre-paid label...The cable company did.

I had to send a,cable box back when I moved, UPS did charge me because I didn't have a prepaid label. All I was given was a UPS label to return, therefore, I paid.

On occasion we have used UPS for pick-ups at our business rather than dropping it off. There has always been an added fee even with our prepaid shipping labels. They will pick up packages that we are shipping if they are delivering something to us at no charge.
