@SharkE, To "Unfloat" while you have that thread open look to the right of the REPLY (above the original post in a thread) and you can select "Unfloat This Topic."

I've been copying and pasting (Mac, with Firefox) by highlighting text (here and on other sites), clicking the option key (might be the control key on other devices) plus the C key  to copy and the option key (might be the control key on other devices) plus  the V key to paste.

@tansy, I haven't tried my iPad here yet, so I'm not sure how they're working...  though I see a lot of complaints so it appears their functionality is limited.  Which is nonsense.

@everyone! Smiley Happy  Thanks for all the comments!  I appreciate the kind words, so my gratitude to you.  At the same time I understand the frustration.  We just have to try and work what's been handed to us, report problems and concerns, hope the PTB will listen and make improvements, and try to help each other in the meantime.

I'm using a Mac and Chrome and I tried the instructions you gave to cut and paste without success. I think I'm about ready to walk away for awhile.

@gardensla, I'm sorry it's not working.  I need to correct and edit my post, though.  (red face)  I think it's usually called the "command" key on the Mac.  The one with an apple, or "cmd," or the quad squiggle on some devices, just to the left of the space bar.  Does that help?

It is the Command key on a Mac, but you can't copy and paste on here from a Mac. You can, however, post pictures from your Photos instead of going through Photo Bucket, which is great.

@NickNack1, as I said I've been copying and pasting text here with my Mac since the first day of the new forums and it's worked with no  problem.  I can't comment on photos, since I'm not a fan of posting images (no offense to those who do, just not my preference and some of them trigger my migraines).

Re: Use "HELP" & "SETTINGS" to navigate the new forums

I'm wondering if those with Macs having problems with copy and paste might be encountering interference by a browser addon/extension?   Or perhaps a problem with Java (I keep Java disabled).

(I have a feeling you've done this, but also deleting cookies, cache, etc., closing and relaunching the browser.  And checking to see the browser and OS X is up-to-date.)

Just trying to brainstorm.

Hi, @Toppers  Great to see you! Smiley Happy

I think everyone's been civil, and just venting some natural frustration over seeing such a big change all at once.

I believe there's a misunderstanding about the moderation.  There are a couple of threads about the Standards for Participation -- the standards haven't changed, and the attempt to clarify the existing standards (which is what I think you're referring to)  turned out a wee bit clumsy and difficult to decipher.

For me, it's good to wait and see how the forums are moderated.  Personally, I don't think there will be a big change.  But time will certainly tell. Smiley Happy

Re: Use "HELP" & "SETTINGS" to navigate the new forums

It's nice seeing you too, dooBdoo. Cat Happy

The standards that I am referring to are the updated ones, under the "Welcome Get Started" Forum. I think that they are perhaps more defined than the older ones now, and I think that these are the ones that the moderators are now referring to, when they are going by the Standards, from what I understand.

Anyway, I am just waiting to see what unfolds with this forum, regarding all of the bugs here. It loads slowly on my computer, and I have a pretty fast high-speed internet connection, too, and I keep everything cleaned up and up-to-date on my computer, so I know it is here, and not anything on my end. You might want to take a look at the reponses to this thread:

Please Explain 'Controversial Topics' from 'Community Guidelines'

(link goes to:  http://community.qvc.com/t5/Community-Chat/Please-Explain-Controversial-Topics-from-Community-Guidel...)

There's a discussion there about the interpretations.  The "Community Guidelines" basically refers us back to the old Standards for Participation, and those are the same.

We shall see.  So far, I don't see any difference in moderation other than the occasional comments by moderators.

I'm sorry the forum loads slowly for you -- I have high-speed internet, too, and so far the forums load very quickly.  Fingers crossed, so far so good. Smiley Happy
