Hi Everyone,

First I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to post regarding Piggy and her diagnosis of Lymphoma.

I took her in yesterday which would have been her 2nd treatment. The bloodwork showed improvment in the white bloodcell count. Red bloodcell about the same. Once again though after the ultrasound the vet delayed it b/c of a suspected kidney infection.

She took more cultures and consulted an oncologist and since we had Piggy on Amoxicillin the past week there wasn't an issue about having the Chemo today. I think she had the infection and we unknowingly treated it also.

So now both of Piggy's little front legs are shaved and her tummy from yesterday's ultrasound. Her gastric ulcer has healed nicely.

When we picked her up today she was so excited! We go back next Wed. The 1st treatment she was ok for 2 days then had the upset stomach etc. This time the Vet gave her Cerenia before the procedure. Hope there are no issues this time.

Still feeding her her Nutro Ultra Holistic with a little of the canned for seniors included. A bite of chicken here and there. When I first started doing research on food during Chemo I also purchased sardines and Salmon which were suggested. Haven't given them yet though.

Oh, I do give her 2 K-9 Immunity Plus "treats" a day which she loves.

Wanted this to be a more positive thread then most of mine lately. Thanks again for everyone's replies, suggestions and good thoughts!! Teddy and Piggy
