Yes. it could be a legality. If they were hit, she could have been told to say nothing about the circumstances OR claim injury.

@fthunt, you are certainly correct. However, let's remind people that a person's medical history and/or information is PRIVATE, whether he or she is a public figure or a private citizen. It's thoughtful and caring to wish someone a speedy recovery and offer up prayers, but it's absolutely no one's business what her medical status is. I don't get the Nosy Nellie attitude and sense of entitlement to know other people's business if someone wants to keep their private business PRIVATE. I wish Mary Beth well and a speedy return to QVC, but I don't need to know what her condition is, and it is none of MY business.

I do not understand why it was necessary that MBR was in a car accident was even mentioned.....they need not tell the viewers that if they are not going to be forthcoming with details. Best just to keep it under wraps....not lead the viewer on. To just say a host is out not feeling up to par is sufficient information. MBR also should not post about it on Facebook until she can tell what happened and how she is.

It's always best not to discuss details, etc., re: accidents, etc. with anyone, especially the general public. At least, that's what is usually suggested by professionals, etc. Hopefully Mary Beth is doing fine, and has a complete and quick recovery. Then she can tell us what happened, if and when she wants (to). Sending her all of our good wishes.

I apparently misunderstood. I thought you were referring to my post where Nancy stated she didn't know any specifics. No one asked for specifics on her Facebook page.
