Update about silver bought at the Q

A few weeks ago I posted about a pair of .925 earrings that I tried to sell at a kiosk for some cash that I purchased at the Q and was told they were not silver. Well, the lever back was stamped .925 but the actual earring was not 'silver' according to the metal checker. I called CSR at the Q and they said they would get back to me.

Yesterday CS called me and said if the Kiosk was to give me a letter stating that the earrings were not silver, then the Q would reimburse me for the price I paid for the earrings.

I said thank you, but decided not to go back to that particular kiosk again, after I saw the lady had been wearing a pair of earrings that I had sold a few weeks ago on her ears! I knew they were mine, because I bought them from QVC and changed the fish hooks to posts, and they were marcasite with onyx. I dont know whats up with that kiosk, but after that experience I no longer wish to do any sort of business with them and will keep the earrings until I find another vendor. If that vendor claims they are not silver then I will get a note saying so, and send to the Q.

Im happy the Q did get back to me, and offer to send me my money back. My lesson in all of this is, beware if your selling your silver at mall kiosks, they might have an interest in YOUR JEWELRY!
