The saga of my tech changes goes on.
I am in Tech Heck.
The mobile company's internet that I switched to hasn't worked out. Every day since Monday (the day I got it set up), both of my laptops have had only short intermittent internet connections. Ugh.
My brother thought it was my 1st laptop, but the 2nd laptop has had only brief internet & my upstairs TV keeps on freezing. Another ugh.
My brother & SIL had me disconnecting, reconnecting, pulling plugs, plugging in, & more, but nothing helps. I live in a rather rural area, & unfortunately this mobile internet provider doesn't work well at my house.
And, I'm sick of trying to make something work that doesn't.
Tuesday, the cable company guy is coming to pick up the TV cable boxes and reconnect the cable company's internet. I never had a problem with the cable company's high speed internet.
I love my new phone & new watch, but I'm keeping the cable phone as my emergency phone.
I'll be back on the phone Tuesday with Hulu to give them a different IP address so that I can use Hulu Live TV & Paramount+. And I'll try syncing my printer with my computers again.
I'll be back at my mobile phone store to return their internet equipment on Wednesday. I want out of Tech Heck.
Oh - I bought a new laptop today that will arrive in late April. It's a rose gold color that matches my phone & my watch Lol.
This time, I learned that I didn't have to throw the baby out with the bath water.

This is what I've been afraid of trying to change from satellite.
My internet service is passable at best. It often goes out for a short time or for hours. If I'm streaming, then I don't have tv either. I have the tv on almost 24 hours a day and I'm often online a lot. If I go over the allotted monthly internet usage I'm charged extra.
For me, depending solely on my internet provider is not an advantage.
I hope going back to your cable internet solves all your tech problems.

Sometimes it is hard to understand why things don't work. I have a very expensive EPSON printer purchased for me by my #1 son shortly before he passed. It was working fine with my cable and landline, etc. After he passed, I decided to go cable-free and get Spectrum. I did and it worked out for a while but when the statement reached near $400, I went with another provider. I have had many tech people to my house including my very knowledgeable #3 son and his son whose business it is. Nobody has been able to make my printer work (wifi). So I went back to Spectrum but not cable. Same thing. It won't work. I do have a landline but it is no longer with AT&T. I need that for some of my husband's lifesaving equipment. Not every single thing works all the time. So, like my #1 son told me long ago, "Technology is not where we want it to be and as far as Old man Bell's efficiency, technology never will be."

They finally installed Fiber Optics Internet just over 3 yrs now. We love it. We never had any problems with the cable internet but the fiber is half the price.

I live in a "dead zone". It's wired cable...or NOTHING. Phone is VOIP.
