Re: Question For Posters Who Have NOT Received Their Stimulus Check

I changed my OP. Should be direct deposit.

Using the Get My Payment on IRS doesn’t work stating information doesn’t match and some other message.

I filed using Turbo Tax and read  that could be part of the problem.

@Reconnaissant My daughter filed her taxes using TurboTax and received her stimulus payment via direct deposit yesterday.  Hope that you receive it soon!

Re: Question For Posters Who Have NOT Received Their Stimulus Check

[ Edited ]

My SS check is usually deposited the third Wednesday of the month, and I expect my Fed and state tax refunds to be deposited sometime this week or early next.  (My retirement and annuity are deposited first of the month.)

So - by the end of the month, I should have a good "chunk of change" deposited in my checking account.

I'll check next week .... I'm okay for cash in the meantime.

Re: Question For Posters Who Have NOT Received Their Stimulus Check

It seems that people who were to receive refunds on their 2019 taxes are receiving their Direct Deposit first.  It, also, says on the IRS.gov website, that anyone receiving Social Security do not use the My Payment to check to see when their check is arriving.  The Social Security recipients are on a different system and it will not show up on the My Payment system.

 If you are receiving Social Security, you will get your check and they have your bank information.

I think she means she used the link for Turbo Tax to file for her Stimulus. Turbo Tax should not have put that out there confusing some people. Everyone should use irs.gov site.

@Somertime

I did my Fed return on Turbo Tax, did my State with their site. I received my direct deposits for those 1 week later. I just did our taxes on the 31st. I kept putting it off. LOL!!! I received the Stimulus Mon. but it was a pending deposit for the 15th.

Yes I used Turbo Tax software to file taxes.

I logged into my account with Turbo Tax and there was a message stating I need to create an account on the IRS website.

@Somertime EXACTLY! This has not been made as public as it should be and I think that's why many SS beneficiaries are confused! Thanks for posting this for those who hadn't read about it.
