We are all very tired but, very happy... even Plug and Max know something wonderful is going to happen in the next couple of days... Here is where we stand... The vet explained that the beating that Patches has received this afternoon is not the first ... There is several burns and healed over sores.... He seemed to recognize me when I came in the room... ladies he is smaller then I first thought and very very thin... The vet said he is about 22 pounds under weight and very dehydrated when he first saw him and examined him. Water and fluids and medicine for a weepy left eye was given.. and two bowls of food were given... One was not enough ..[he was very hungry] He had a normal movement and urine. Blood and urine were taken and we will get the results on Tuesday. And ultrasound will be given to Patches to make sure he has no internal injuries. The ex-ray 's showed 5 bruised ribs but, nothing broken [Thank God]. He even sat up and walked around a little bit this evening with the help of a technician. He is still in a lot of pain....and when we take him home .. He will have to be kept very quiet until the ribs heal completely. He is taped up of course... but, could get around a bit easier now... The vet says he is between three and four years old... And pretty healthy and hearty soul considering everything he was going though.... He is a quiet little thing...and very timid and scared and it will take time for him to get used to us.... I already love him and so do the girls and my hubs.... We made a stop at pet co for some special supplies for him and food and some bowls and of course a soft comfy bed....I want to Thank all of you for all your kind words and blessings...{Hugs} I am a Christian women and it is hard to forgive someone like a man who beats a animal like that...I will never understand why someone can do such a thing to a animal.... I will update soon and with any luck we will be able to bring him home on Wednesday. God bless you all for caring and your sweet words... Good night.
