Update On Kwasi Enin-Teen Accepted To 8 Ivy League Schools

The Long Island high school senior who was accepted to all eight Ivy League schools says he is heading to Yale.

Kwasi Enin announced his decision during a news conference at William Floyd High School Wednesday with the type of fanfare usually reserved for college football and basketball recruits.

Enin, who scored 2,250 out of 2,400 on his SAT, was accepted by Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Yale and the University of Pennsylvania earlier this year.

He also was accepted at Duke and three State University of New York campuses.

Enin said the school's inviting atmosphere, emphasis on music and financial aid offerings all contributed to him choosing Yale.

Kwasi plans to go to medical school after. He'll be a great doctor!

Congrats to Kwasi - grades alone were awesome but he also did so many other things - music, community involvement - just an all-around super young man.

I had read that he chose Yale and was happy that he made his decision based on more than academics. I didn't realize that he had been accepted at a few other colleges/universities too besides the Big 8. What an inspiration~

That's a huge amount of effort, applying to so many schools. It's not just a quick form with check boxes; you have to submit an essay or something about why you should be at their school. Remember Legally Blonde, and Elle's video? He applied to a really large number of schools, and I bet he didn't send the same application to all of them. I'm exhausted just thinking of how hard he worked on it.
