@On It ... First l want to say I am so sorry you are going through this! We're all relieved that you have another home in Texas and you're safe there. So heartbreaking to see these fires! I've never seen fires like this because l live in western New York.

Thank you for keeping us up to date! Glad to hear there is containment in both of the fires... especially where you live. I don't want to say anymore because you've been through so much. We all are praying 🙏 for you and everyone involved in this. Stay safe 💖

We have had to evacuate once & on standby once since we are in a fire area.  I keep a suitcase packed, my insurance papers, dog crates & leashes at all times.  I have an SUV so the back is packed every fire season with plenty of gas.  It's very scary but don't hesitate to evacuate.

The rains slowed the fires, but did not extinguish them. The complex team manager stated it would take large amounts of rain daily over an extended period of time to do that.

I am sad to say that the search for those who did not survive is underway. Wherever a deceased person is located, the area will be designated a crime scene. Forensics will be done to determine identity.
