@On It I'm so glad you are safe, but devastated to see what is happening to such a beautiful environment. Every picture you've sent in the past brightened my day. I always thought I'd love to live there. 

I was so saddened fearing for the human dwellers, but also for the wildlife, that I had trouble even sleeping last night, knowing the fire was not contained.

I know they're still fighting it, with all they've got. I hope the end result is a bit better than it appears right now, since on site reports are yet to come. My heart is aching for all. Do keep us posted. Hugs to you and yours.

I'm saddened to hear and learn of this.  You have to stay safe and it's best that you left.  

Does anyone question how the fire/s started and who would be responsible?  If it's a firebug how are the punished?

@Puzzle Piece The origin of the fire is unknown.  I hope a cause is determined, but who knows? The fight to save the village is underway. If the maps I have seen are correct, it is really bad.

Approximately 500 structures have been affected. My neighbor had to evavute to Artesia, NM. All the rooms in Roswell were taken. He has a camera that is showing his house. He can see ours, too. He said he will check it several times throughout the day.

@On It  I appreciate your timely updates. I previously mentioned we own property across from Ruidoso Downs racetrack (our home is in Texas) and are currently viewing pictures sent by neighbor. This is a disaster to the area. So sorry your property is immediately impacted. Prayers for all the entities and residents involved in this fire. Sending my kindest and heartfelt thoughts to you.

@On It   I am glad you are safe in Texas.  This is just awful that there is zero containment.  I enjoy your wildlife pictures and continue to pray for your community, you and yours.  Heartbreaking.  Hugs (❤️❤️❤️)
