I know what you mean. I got rid of annoying habits. Cut down on internet altogether, left a Q group that was not necessary any more.
Went back to my first love, reading and tackled that bunch of DVD's in the corner that has been sitting there for a yr. All this stuff takes time.
We should start a national unplug day. I enjoy talking about cooking and history stuff, till it gets nasty, then, I move on. I'm married I got enough aggravation. ROFL

Thanksfor the replies and I had to laugh when someone said I will be ready for power outages. I actually have trouble handling power outages (lol). So I didn't think of that when we were unplugged for 24 hours!. I don't use my phone nearly as much as my laptop. The tv eh, the phone eh, but yeah Id miss my laptop if power was out for days.

I need to do this more often. My phone is mostly shut off, it's my tablet that I'm addicted to. For me it's a way to procrastinate regarding things I should be getting done and that bugs me.
