Under the Bed Exercise Equipment?

If you have or have had under the bed exercise equipment, a few questions:

 - what was it (ie treadmill, etc)

 - have you been happy with it

 - what brand/version would you recommend

 - where did you get it

Granted I've only been vertical for less than an hour and just now finished my coffee, but I don't quite understand the "under the bed" portion of this message.  Do they make exercise equipment meant to be stored under a bed?  I've had a treadmill and now a recumbent bike but they don't fold flat.  I have a phobia about storing anything under beds.  The only thing under them are dust/dog hair bunnies but now they're gone thanks to my robot vac.  If you bought one meant to go under the bed, do you think you'd be diligent about putting it there after each use?

Re: Under the Bed Exercise Equipment?

Many years ago I had a manual treadmill that could fold flat and slide under a bed, but I thought that method of storing was counterproductive. I found myself using it more frequently when I set it up in a permanent place and left it ready for use. Some of the things I have seen presented as being able to fold and slide under a bed look too big for that unless you have a very high bed frame.

Re: Under the Bed Exercise Equipment?

Just to clarify. I want to set things up so the room is mainly for exercise but want it to double as a guest room when needed. Thus, the ability to slide things under the bed would be helpful and want to hear what items/brands have been satisfactory.

ROFLOL  I thought this might be a new thing.  It really would be hard to exercise under the bed let alone on equipment.  (I need to be admitted.)  ROFLOL.

If we stored exercise equipment under the bed it would not get used.

We have a Bowflex, Proform Hybrid recumbent exercise bike/elliptical. I also have a Pilates chair. We have this in one of our bedrooms with a TV.

DH uses the other room as his man cave.

We no longer have a spare bedroom for guests. We do have hotels. LOL!!!

Re: Under the Bed Exercise Equipment?

My daughter recently purchased and had delivered from Walmart what is called a walking pad. She wanted something she could slide under her couch if she wanted but she's leaving it out along the wall and a windowsill where she can set the remote on. By leaving it out she could get on it whenever she wanted. She was using it 3 times a day.

Re: Under the Bed Exercise Equipment?

Years ago, I had a treadmill that folded so you could slide it under a bed.  It wasn't hard to do but I ended up leaving it up all the time.  I got it from one of the shipping channels, don't remember which one.  Now they have walking pads that slide under a bed or couch.

Re: Under the Bed Exercise Equipment?

Hi @ThinkingOutLoud    Woman Happy

That's a great idea!  Doubles as Guest Room & Exercise Room.   I wish, I wish!   Woman Happy

I had a Reformer Pilates Machine (loaded w/ addt'l accessories) from QVC years ago.  LOVED IT!  Used it!   .. all the time, for yrs.  Pilates & I became great friends;  Was great exercise, solid muscles, & for minimal effort, no sweat.

(I dont remember, or wld even want, any perm wheels on my exercise equipment. Stability, wld trump Mobility for me)

I assembled my Pilates machine all myself, so I would imagine I could lift, move it to the corner, upright, if need be.  (The Addt'l foot part cld easily be removed for addt'l mobility & compact storage.)

(I'd probably make, get, have made a *Maid/Butler costume cover-up* for it while in the corner, when having Guests use the room. Woman Wink  And set it back up usefully, semi-perm, again when they leave.)

I think there are Pilates machines, or Total Gym machines that do fold up and wheel under the bed, but off the top of my head, cant think of which ones. (I have the Commercials in my head)

Good luck @ThinkingOutLoud !! Enjoy!
