I used to like it when we would " fall back," but now that I'm retired I just go with the flow. It just doesn't matter to me.

Same for me, for the most part. Occasionally I enjoy being out in the early evening darkness when there's a gentle snowfall. A few times is plenty, and then I'm over it.

I would like them to get rid of DST altogether.  If that isn't possible, then keep things the way they are.  I love it to be dark when it is night time.  Actually, I would be OK if it were to get dark around 3PM.  I think I was a Vampire in another life!

Re: Ugh, Turn Clocks Back Next Weekend.

I am happy to turn the clocks back, gain an hour of sleep, have some peace and quiet in the neighborhood when darkness domes, no loud horrible lawn mowers going.  I don't mind when it is dark early for many reasons, all good for me.

This discussion is predictable ....each of us has our preference.  I wish that we would make a consistent permanent change for our country...this practice is antiquated and unnecessary..

I used to really enjoy the time change as felt like my spirit could hearth deeper from a stimulated external world. Now reading where at least in the state I am in this is the final shift. Ending time change it after many decades. Not sure how I feel about it. Just bought a new home in an area an hour away from where I spent the last three decades in the unfamiliar and this seems like a new experience all the way around.

Re: Ugh, Turn Clocks Back Next Weekend.

@amyb   You brought up another excellent reason...our crime rate is out of control and we continue to foster more.  Another reason to speed up the policy change.

You are right...just a staistical fact.

Especially with all the up in crime, everywhere, including our "quiet little suburbs" here in CT, lately...it feels safer to go into store parking lots in daylight. Though plenty of catalytic converter thefts have been happening in broad daylight too. Please, mods, no poofing, not baiting, just stating some facts and nuff said on that. So, now having to get everything done before 4 pm, if you don't want to go out to stores after dark, ugh.

Re: Ugh, Turn Clocks Back Next Weekend.

I also think standard time is better for my body.  Every time we go to DST I have to make a real effort to adjust my sleep time.  But I love coming home and being able to go for a walk in the daylight.  So my solution is standard time BUT we all get off work an hour early : )!

Also, I don't think any legislation has passed in both chambers  -- maybe the senate but not the house?  Seems like it passed in one but then constituent complaints started pouring in.
