USPS Is Planning To Slow Down Delivery of Some 1st Class Mail!

According to NPR, Louis Dejoy is planning to slow down delivery of some 1st Class Mail. Even members of the US Postal Board of Governors disagree with this decision. Dejoy claims it will save money, but according to those disagreeing, it will not save enough to warrant this change. And this change can be dangerous. Think of seniors who get their medicine delivered by the US mail as well as other situations.

What can we do to stop this?

They need to get rid of DeJoy. There are steps that have to be taken so they can do just that. Hopefully eventually he will be gone. What he is doing is ridiculous.

I read this morning that the USPS is putting up the cost of shipping from Oct. to Dec 26th for the holiday season. Not sure what date in Oct, maybe the 3rd.

@stellabystarlight They are already doing it. I get notices constantly that packages will be delayed and they've sat at my little, quiet post office for up to 8 days waiting for delivery.

I'd suggest emailing your US Representatives. The House has had a committee investigating the post office. The USPS Board of Directors is the only entity that can fire DeJoy.... even the President can't but he does appoint the board.

@Kachina624 Yes, I will contact my senator & representative. But it seems that only the Board of Governors can do anything - if even get rid of him. Every day there is a new challenge to contend with here. I feel like I can't take it anymore.

Also, I heard on the news that the cost of shipping containers is going up too - which will translate into higher costs for goods. Food prices are going through the roof. I just needed to vent.
