I heard on the news yesterday that UPS will start charging people for home delivery I didn't get it all, did anyone hear this , I wonder if it meant when we order and receive a package we have to pay for the delivery or it will be added on when we order something, if that is so I won't be ordering .

It isn't suppose to start until next year, I would appreciate feedback on this

This was initially brought up on the forums a couple of days ago, but this is nothing new.,

UPS already charges extra for home deliveries with its least expensive rates being for items shipped to businesses. This is simply a rate increase -- nothing more, nothing less.

I'll ask my son, he works for them. He has told me before that most of these comments are just rumors.

I'm not sure where I posted this before but I bet it will save them a fortune to drop it off at the Post Office. Around here they spend a lot of time driving around looking for addresses. None of them will drive down my 160' driveway, so they walk down it and their vehicles are running the whole time.

I prefer UPS tho, I'll miss it if it's true. We have lock boxes for the mail and our new delivery guy will just shove stuff in as opposed to walking around and putting it into the parcel box.
