Re: UPDATE a Ragu Traditional versus Prego

Add about one teaspoon to a 24 oz. jar of tomato sauce. That will cut the bitterness and it won’t taste sweet. Add a tiny bit more if necessary.

I normally make my own sauce, a big pot full and then freeze portions, but when it runs out or I’m in a hurry, , I use Victoria’s. In my opinion, it’s the best and closest tasting to homemade. It’s a bit pricey, but worth it. I stock up when it’s on sale.

I do like ragu chunky style.  Newman's Own makes a great marinaria and I would love to try Lydia's maybe as a treat as it is very expensive

I have never made my own sauce ever. I like Prego over Ragu any day.
