@rms1954, I was surprised to see frozen Lima beans at Target. It was their own Good & Gather brand. I didn't think to look at the price.

You need to buy black walnuts in the fall once they become available in the stores after the harvest, and freeze them for use later.

This years crop will be harvested in the next 2 months, and even if it's a huge crop, the majority of these nuts are usually sold before spring. It is rare to find black walnuts available thru the summer; at least here in WV.
