I wouldn't recognize her in that pic.

Why @tansy?

Well, I don't know how to answer that, @Bri36, other than she doesn't look like Princess Diana to me.  'Course I need new glasses. 😊

@tansy

Maybe that's why I like those photos because she doesn't look like herself.  She't not wearing jewelry and her hair looks modern and young.  She was usually so formal looking.

Didn't mean to put you on the spot.  LOL

@Greeneyedlady21 - Thank you for starting this thread and for sharing the great pictures!

@OfCourse - I don't think Kate will ever be like Diana. The one thing about her is how happy she makes William. Diana, in spite of being somewhat shy, seemed to have more of a connection with people. She was so compassionate. And she looked for the downtrodden to help. I don't think Kate had the same personality.

I was washing dishes on a Saturday night. DH came home and told me to turn the TV on.

Two intereresting things I've read lately:

Did you all read the interview with the fireman who reached her first? He is finally speaking out because he is now retired. He said he never expected her to die. He said she was conscious when they got to her and she asked him what happened, then she went into heart failure. He gave her CPR and got her into the ambulance. She was alive. He must not have known at the time about the massive internal injuries. He said she didn't look like she was that bad.

I also read that Charles wanted to name William and Harry "Arthur" and "Albert." Diana preferred the names they have - thank goodness she got her way with that!

@beach-mom I read the interview with the firefighter today, it made me sad. I do remember hearing many reports at the time that she was still alive in the car and died at the hospital.

After looking at the pictures - I must admit the camera liked her. In addition to quite a few people.

I remember it like it was yesterday. I was in my last semester of grad school.  We were going to meet for a group project and I was so tired because I got up in the night to watch the funeral. I thought she was the most beautiful at the end of her life. I loved her haircut and her super blonde hair. I'm brown hair, brown eyed and was so envious.

I love my family, my fur boys, my Jayhawks and accounting!

More tears, I can't stop crying for a beautiful woman who died too soon.  Her boys would have made her proud. RIP Princess Diana.
