Do what is right and good in the eyes of the Lord and receive
the fullness of His blessings. Lord, I thank You for the gifts that
I have received and ask forgiveness for all that I have done wrong.

Meditation for the day:

Cooperation with God is the great necessity for our lives. All else then
can follow naturally. Cooperation with God is the result of our
consciousness of God's presence. Guidance is bound to come to us as we live
more and more with God. We can have many quiet times when we not so much
ask to be shown and led by God, as to feel and realize God's presence. New
spiritual growth and life comes naturally when we cooperate with God.

Prayer for the day:


I pray that God may supply me with strength and show me the direction in
which God wants me to grow. I pray that these things may come naturally
from my cooperation with God.

Hello my friends! I need to apologize for not getting the call in to
Corporate in time today - when I did it was too late. I was on the phone a
long time with Darla, then I needed to take a nap, still get so tired and
worn out, this too, shall pass. I'm blessed to know that a friend got home
safely today thru the storm! Praise the Lord for that! Many prayers were
going out for her safety. It was nice visiting with Darla - she kept
sending me lots of Wedding Pictures I hadn't seen yet on Facebook, and she
wants us to choose which ones we'd like in our little picture book she's
making for us. My goodness! All those pictures are so pretty! Another
blessing was when Linus got the mail after he got home, I got a cute Get
Well card - homemade from Harlene! It made my day! Thanks so much for
thinking of me to create such a nice card!!! You have great talent and I
love every thing you send my way!!! Hope you people are not having any
damage to this huge storm - hope you keep your power! I cannot imagine
being without power for days. Please keep your prayers going for my limpy
dog! He doesn't seem to get any better. You all are in my prayers daily -
thanks for your prayers for us.

God's Coffee

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to
visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into
complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned
with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic,
glass, crystal, some plain looking, some
expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said:

"If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving
behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the
best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.

Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases
it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink.

What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously
went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups.

Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in
society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the
type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live.

Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God
has provided us."

God brews the coffee, not the cups.......... Enjoy your coffee!

A PRAYER TO OUR LADY FOR HEALING

Mary Immaculate, you have given yourself to us as our Lady of the Miraculous
Medal. You have asked us to pray with confidence, and we will receive great
graces. We know your compassion, because you saw your Son suffer and die for
us. In your union with his suffering you became the mother of us all.
Mary, my mother, teach me to understand my suffering as you do and to endure
it in union with the suffering of Jesus. In your motherly love, calm my
fears and increase my trust in God's loving care.

According to God's plan, obtain for me the healing I need. Intercede with
your Son that I may have the strength I need to work for God's glory and the
salvation of the world. Amen
