We are judged by our actions, not by our intentions. Lord, may I show
my love for You through charity and goodness toward others.

Scripture for the day:

"Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them."
~Matthew 18:20

Meditation for the day:

"Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them."
When God finds two or three of us in union, who only want God's will to
be done, who want only to serve God, God has a plan that can be revealed
to them. The grace of God can come to people who are together in one
place with one accord. A union like this is miracle-working. God is
able to use such people. Only good can come through such consecrated
people, brought together in unified groups for a single purpose and of a
single mind.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may be part of a unified group. I pray that I may
contribute my share to its consecrated purpose.

Hello my friends! Lori invited us over for supper tonight - chicken on her
rotisserie - very delicious! I made a salad and brought it. We had a good
time visiting - out in her deck, and throwing ball for Ollie who never gives
up! Her invisible fencing is working out well, Ollie was out all that time
and won't go near the edges of the lawn. In the front lawn he didn't know
it was there too, and he got a jolt, and then went and laid down. It sure
makes him laid back! But he's the ever lasting ball player! She had the
sprinklers on and we laughed at him running through it have so much fun! He
was so funny. He surely is a blessing to Lori! It was such a nice blessing
to just go over there, eat with her and relax and thanks be to God it's only
5 miles away. Her friend, Elisha, who lost her Mother this summer and her
Dad about 2 years ago, bought herself a house - and moves in by the end of
this month, near us - about a couple blocks away!! From what she showed us
on the computer - it's absolutely beautiful - and the basement is finished
too! Can't wait to see it. Being so close to us Linus can offer his
fatherly help to her too if needed. Praying for you all - thanks for
praying for us!

Mother Teresa Said...

"Like Jesus, who submitted Himself to the common law of labor
and the common lot of the poor, we will not seek any special privileges
or treatment for ourselves, but be happy to be treated as one of the poor,
ready to be insulted, ill-treated, refused, blamed falsely,
or put into all kinds of inconveniences.
We shall not seek to defend ourselves,
but leave our defense to the Lord.
We will not worry about tomorrow
but will live the present moment intensely
with complete trust in God."

I choose to breathe the Breath of Christ,
the breath that makes all life holy.

I choose to live the flesh of Christ,
the flesh that outlasts all decay.

I choose to feel the Blood of Christ in my heart,
a goodness and beauty pulsing in my veins.

I choose the living waters flowing from His side
to wash all the world clean.

I choose the agony and sorrows of Christ
to fill all my sufferings with meaning and
power.

I choose You, dear Jesus.

Count me among those that You have won through Your
cross.
Never number me among those against You or far
from You.
Protect me from all that seeks to destroy me.
And in the hour of my death, call me.
Summon me to come to You,
and place me among Your angels and saints
forever.
Father of all, help me always to choose Christ
in the world. AMEN.

NO TIME
Author Unknown

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.

So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.

All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.

No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time to die.

I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in His hands God held a book;
It was the Book of Life.

God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down . . .
But never found the time"
