God gives abundantly to those who pass His gifts on to others. Lord, let
Your blessings flow in to me and then out from me. I will neither be
selfish
nor let my gifts stagnate.

Scripture for the day:

"It is God's will that by doing right you should silence the ignorance
of the foolish. As servants of God, live as free people, yet do not use
your freedom as a pretext for evil. Honor everyone." ~1 Peter 2:15-17

Meditation for the day:

Each new day brings an opportunity to do some little thing that will
help to make a better world, that will bring God's kingdom a little
nearer to being realized on earth. We can take each day's happenings as
opportunities for something we can do for God. In that spirit, a
blessing will attend all that we do. When we offer this day's service
to God, we are sharing in God's work. We do not have to do great
things.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that today I may do the next thing, the unselfish thing, the
loving thing. I pray that I may be content with doing small things as
long as they are right.

Hello my friends! Today we took Deil home - it was so nice having her with
us since Friday! At her age, almost 90, she always waits on us hand and
foot at her house, and cooks and bakes - what a woman! It was a pleasure
having her here a few days and wait on her and have her honored at the
Wedding being she is the Godmother of the Bride. She enjoyed that Wedding!
Guess we won't see her until her 90th Birthday Party Oct. 6th! We'll call
each other for sure. Tomorrow can be just an ordinary day. Tonight was
busy with canning tomatoes, spaghetti sauce and salsa at Lori's. A big
blessing to have all that on hand now! Praying for all of you and thanks
for your prayers for us.

NOBODY'S FRIEND
Author Unknown

My name is Gossip.
I have no respect for justice.

I maim without killing.
I break hearts and ruin lives.

I am cunning and malicious
and gather strength with age.

The more I am quoted,
the more I am believed.

My victims are helpless.
They cannot protect themselves against me
because I have no name or face.

To track me down is impossible.
The harder you try,
the more elusive I become.

I am nobody's friend.

Once I tarnish a reputation,
it is never the same.

I topple governments
and wreck marriages.

I ruin careers
and cause sleepless nights,
heartaches and indignation.

I make innocent people
cry in their pillows.

Even my name hisses.
I am called Gossip.
I make headlines and headaches.

"The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It
corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is
itself set on fire by h ell." James 3:6, NIV

I believe we all are guilty of being gossip mongers, males and females
alike. Let us ask the Lord to forgive us for this sin and ask Him to take
control of our tongues that we may speak words that build up others and not
tear them down.

Hello! Is there too much noise in your life?

I AM your Lord God speaking!
Would you like me to speak louder?
Is it you who can't hear me already,
in the mere creation that was made by my hands;
Like the sun, which I shine on your face everyday,
or the wind, that blows through your window,
which you don't notice because your always in a hurry?
Can you not hear me in the Mass,
where I offer up myself to you through the Eucharist,
in a homily where my child speaks my words,
in the Bible - where I teach you how to live,
in prayer - where you listen and hear me speak,
or in any act of Love you experience
through another one of my children during a normal day?

I AM with you always, right here,
but unless you have time
and turn down the volume of the stereo of life,
how do you expect to hear me?

God's Faithfulness - (2)

Have you ever realized how generous God is? Look at the cross, it's a plus
sign. He always want to add blessing in your life.

Never a weakness that He can't feel,
Never a sickness that He can't heal,
Never a sorrow that He doesn't share,
moment by moment--we're under Jesus' care.

God said "If you never felt pain, then how would you know I'm a healer? If
you never felt sadness, how would you know that I'm a comforter? If life is
perfect will you still know Me?
