A toilet paper company is tossing the tube. Scott Naturals debuted its tube-free toilet paper Tuesday.
Wisconsin company Kimberly-Clark came up with the idea. Officials there say 17 billion toilet paper tubes are tossed each year in the United States.
They say a tube-less roll is good for the environment.
"It's about taking a small step to getting those tubes out of the landfills, which will have a huge impact on the environment really," said Scott Naturals brand representative Matt Kosloske.
The company will not completely eliminate tubed toilet paper rolls, but will encourage people to buy the "no-tube" toilet paper.

I have been buying this for at least one year....maybe my city was a test market!
I like it a lot, but you have to be careful to make sure it's centered correctly, or it won't "roll."

Does it lose its form? I can't believe I'm asking about TP Ha!

They've been advertising it here for awhile....it may be available here since it's made here but I haven't seen or bought it but on the commercial it doesn't look like it would roll very well.

I think it's dumb, put the empty roll in with the recycling.

No. Once you make sure the opening in the center is round (I squeeze it into shape) it's fine. It probably takes 10 seconds to get it situated. I'm 100% behind anything that cuts down on waste, so I like this TP!

I don't like Scott TP.
I would buy tubeless TP if Charmin made it.

i have bought it within the past year or so.....i guess we were a test market also. i thought it was a great idea and no problems with it on the holder or losing its shape. my only problem is is that it was never on sale and that is usually how i buy my toilet paper.....or at sams club.

I received a free roll in the mail of this a few months ago. I experienced no problem with it on the roll, as a previous poster said, once I squeezed it into shape, it was fine.

It's much softer than the usual Scott TP.
