So recently my husband was looking for a trunk or bin that had some of his deceased wifes processions. Well he found a trunk that I had from over 40 years ago from before we were married (!) with some of my old clothing!! It was so fun to see some of this stuff. The amazing thing is, it had been stored in our garage in SE Texas for 22 years. The trunk moved with us to Utah and has been in our garage for another 5 years. It had survived the Texas heat and humidity. Nothing had any moth holes. The clothes did have a musty smell. My daugther and granddaughter will be checking some of the clothes to see if they want any of them. I'm washing them and then they will come check to see what they want. There was also a Lady Shavex razor that still worked when I plugged it in!!

So what were the big finds?  Bell bottoms?  What did you find

@shoekitty  Mostly sweaters, a silk blouse, a couple of other blouses. These would have been from the early 80's. I wish I had held on to some of my bell bottoms from the early 70's. I do have my Frye Boots from 1975.

@shoekitty  Also there was a Noren which is something my brother and his wife got from when they lived in Tokyo. How I ended up with it is a mystery. Our mom gave it to me for some reason. My brother was relieved I had it. He always wondered where it was.

What is a Noren?  And did you find your husband's wife's things?

@DottieBlue  A noren is something that is hung over the front of businesses. This one was from a local public bathe house they used a lot. They knew the owner and he gave it to them. And no we haven't found his wife's things. But we will.
