So did anyone watch the whole season and the finale? What did you think?
I found the whole season "blah" and I thought the finale episode was sooooo dumb.
I figured more people would have died.I was surprised only Bill died. Or as Hoyt and Andy say "Vampire Bill".
I am glad they brought Hoyt back on so that him and Jessica had their happy ending.
I hated how 3(?) episodes were wasted on that Tara and her mom situation and the digging in the yard to find the gun. Dumb!
Overall the season did not live up to my expectations and I found the last episode the have fallen very flat.

I was also happy to see Hoyt, and I thought Bill had to die to make any sense. I would have rather Sookie and Sam were together, but no one asked me. lol
I agree that they dragged out some things that didn't need to be, then tossed an ending together without much thought.
I did love the series and will miss it.

I was very conflicted about the ending too.
I agree, Bill had to die and I really liked how it ended for Eric and Pam---that was hysterical.
I thought they just rushed through the final minutes though. It didn't feel complete to me. I was disappointed that Sookie's SO was just some unidentified man at the table.
Reese, In the book, Sookie did end up with Sam.
I will miss the series too!

I thought the Eric and Pam 'New Blood' infomercial was hilarious.
Eric and Pam have always been 2 of my favorites so I was happy to see them still alive. I can see why Sara Noolan (sp?) had to survive too, she WAS the antidote... but her character always annoyed me and more so this season.
The very ending where it was some random guy, that is what got me. I was hoping it somehow would have been someone we knew or at best a little info as to who he was, not just Sookie sitting down by him and that was that.
I've watched this show since the beginning. Some seasons we better than others, some episodes better than others, but I've always watched. It really was a good show.
Speaking of Vampies and other dead/undead/dead things... anyone into The Walking Dead? I watch that too.

Though I loved the True Blood series after this season I am so glad it is over. There were times I almost quit watching it but had to see how it ended. Now for Boardwalk Empire. Will miss that one. Love the music, clothes and the era in general.

I loved Eric and Pam, too! I always wanted them together and the concept of the New Blood was great!
See, Sam and Sookie did make sense! lol

I have watched all of the seasons of this show and have loved every minute of it. I personally think they should have done a 2 hour finale, but that is neither here nor there. I sobbed at the staking scene in the graveyard. Such emotional performances from both Anna and Steven. I have read all the books, but before I read them, during the first season, I always wanted Sam and Sookie together, and apparently so did the author Charlaine Harris. There were things I liked about the finale and things that disapointed me, but I don't think there could have been an ending that would please everyone. I own most of the DVDs for this series, so in time I will go back and watch them all over again. I thought the last two seasons before this became very, very dark and departed drastically from the books, but this season the show tried to redeem itself as it tied up loose ends. True Blood, I'll miss you.
