Time to thank those who manage to bring us all of our stuff.  Special thanks to the women in trucking like @RedTop 's daughter who surely must have to work even harder to prove themselves.  Thanks guys and gals!

Is @RedTop  the poster known as Mother Trucker?  I remember her posts about her daughter ...

My nephew, Oscar is a trucker.  My hats off to him and all truckers male and female. Thank you for all your hard work.

@SoX   I'm not sure if she has changed her name.  She's been RedTop a long time.

@SoX  No, she isn't. Mother Trucker sold trucks or something like that. Haven't seen her in quite awhile.

I’m very grateful to all the truckers who make our lives function smoothly. It’s a very tough job and I’m glad @Kachina624 @brought this to our attention.

One of my nephews-in-law is a trucker, and he works very hard, while his wife has a few kids of their own and also fosters at-risk kids.  Where would we be without the kind of long-haul transports that bring us our goods and groceries?

Re: Trucker Appreciation Week

Thank you for remembering my trucker daughter during Trucker Appreciation week!

9 years and about 2 million miles driven, there are only about 10 company drivers with more seniority than her; they're also 10-15+ years older.

She truly loves what she does, and we are very proud of her!

Our National economy would crash, that's where we'd be.

Re: Trucker Appreciation Week

My neighbor two houses down, is a long-distance trucker ... sometimes I don't see him for weeks at a time.

He inherited the house from his mother who was a dear friend.   The house and lawn looks as good now as when she was alive ... she raised a good son.
