I just placed an order w/Amazon and got free 2-day shipping if I joined their Amazon Prime.

How is this different from regular amazon orders and is there a charge after the trial ends?

Hi pommom, I just bumped a thread about Amazon Prime for you in Beauty Banter. It should give you a good feel for how the program works. HTH!

The trial period is usually for one month. After the month is up and you do not cancel, you will be billed for the year. So if you are not happy with the service, make sure you cancel. I went over one day but was still able to have the $79.00 charge reversed. The products that say Prime, are usually received in about 2 days.

Sage4 is correct about being billed at the end of the trial period but the annual rate just increased to $99 a year.

It used to be that even after they charged you for the full year (which they'll do automatically, using the credit card info you give them when you sign up), you could still cancel and be refunded the fee as long as you hadn't made a purchase or used the service yet...after your free trial month, that is. Maybe that policy has changed, though...?
