Just started a couple nights ago.  They drive me nuts with their mating calls.

We see them from time to time on our glass doors or windows, which I enjoy.

I don't see them but I sure do hear them.  Back and forth, back and forth.

Lucky you. I would rather hear frogs than constant loud traffic and barking dogs any day or night of the week.

I love hearing the crescendo of the frogs rising and falling at night.  Has been going on here for several weeks.  It is really loud here and took some getting used to (especially for my husband).  I like to go out on the deck in the dark and absorb the noise several times a week.  Will miss them soon but will be relieved when they quiet down.  Just part of living in the country in upper SC.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

I love to photograph tree frogs.  I find them endearing. They do make a lot of noise for such tiny creatures.  I took this a couple of days ago of a Spring Peeper.  It was about 1/2 inch long.

a few years ago we had two end up in our bathroom.  assuming they rode in on the dog?

The first one was pretty large and and so still that my BF thought it was a plastic one I put on the sink.

Both were safely removed to the outside.

I thought the ciccadas (sp??) were awfully loud.  Don't mind the sound of the frogs, but.. absolutely love doves.  So soothing.

@Jk9   I feel the same way.  We never heard tree frogs until we began many many years ago traveling, vacationing in Barbados. they would begin early evening, we'd rarely see one let alone many but you certainly heard them. A lovely crescendo as you said, a nature's natural sound.
