Suggestions needed please if you have any that might work.
Keep large trash can in the garage, then put it out to the curb
weekly.
It reeks even with the lid closed. I dont put food trash in my
kitchen trash bag without tying it up or closing into a ziploc bag.
I have tried baking soda sprinkled on, sprayed air freshener,
none of that works at all.
Of course it is worse in this heat lately and its yucko!!
Has anything worked for you!??

Will your provider swap out the can for you?

Well no, it reeks when there is the kitchen trash bags with trash in, in the trash can.

@CherryHugs Oh got you! I thought the can itself had become rancid. I will tell you that (if you can), we put anything like bones or things that we know will stink in the freezer and then toss them in on trash day right before we roll it out to the curb.

Our large cans are outside. We have a medium sized can in the garage and we put kitchen sacks in there then take them to the outside cans every day or so.

I have had moderate to excellent success with spraying the inside of the kitchen garbage bag and sometimes the top of the garbage itself with Poo Pourri.

Yes, I have sprayed that Poopourie stuff in the garbage can and on the garbage bags. I do use the garbage bags that supposed to prevent odors, do put "smelly" things in a freezer bag. I also keep my garbage cans in the garage.

I saw them demonstrate that one of the times that it was on last. They showed a little video or something, and they sprayed the garbage cans with it, and also sprayed some of it in the sink drain as well.....Good that you can use it for other things as well.

I have found that when I add some shrubbery clippings to the garbage can, it "neutralizes" the evil smell.............
