Train Travel with a 6 year old

I am planning a trip on Amtrack with my 6 year old granddaughter from Richmond to Tampa this April. I hate to fly so have traveled alone by train before and enjoyed it. We will be traveling overnight so part of the time on the train will be spent sleeping. The trip is 19 hours - each way. Please share any suggestions you might have for riding the train with children. Thanks.
