@Noel7  I think it would be a nice item to have in the freezer for times I don't want to cook

I'm sure an order of sweet and sour chicken has  a lot more carbs than that does

Slightly Off topic... but during the holidays I posted about pecan pie in a jar and was told I could get it at Trader Joe's.  While we were on a short trip I found a store and purchased a jar.  I made 4 mini pies from the jar and was a little disappointed in the flavor.  Next time I will just bite the bullet and buy the ingredients to make the pie. 

I cannot put my finger on what was in the filling that I did not like but something seemed off to me.

Trader Joe's also has a bag of frozen BBQ Teriyaki chicken, only 150 calories a serving.  That's popular, also.

My husband and I ,made a big pot of mince today, and we will eat that for a few days, then perhaps, try the other  things

My Irish neighbor taught me how to make it. It is lean ground beef  ,fried with onion, then  lots of different root vegetables are added( potatoes, carrots, parsnips, and turnips) cubed. You pour water or beef broth over everthing and simmer. When it's done ,you use  Bisto Gravy powder, to thicken it

It is a kind of stew, and its very good

It does sound good   I'll have to look up Bisto Gravy Powder, so many products seem to be regional.
