Lucky for you! For a while I thought there was going to be a call for a public stoning.

Snopes reported it 40 minutes ago, they are certainly on top of things.

Other news reports, also.

It was stated right in the article that it was a joke. Good job Snopes!

As a LONG-TIME TJ's shopper, I didn't take the "bait"....it was unfathomable to me that they had "financial problems" for a long time, as the stores in the Phx area where I live are always mobbed and well stocked and their customer base is huge and well established!

I don't understand how Yahoo could have sunk to the level of starting this idiotic "holiday" a day early, except I guess there is NO LEVEL of decency that actually exists in this Country today!

So glad TJ's is here to stay!!

I was the same. I didn't read the link but knew the headline couldn't possibly be true - they're too successful.

Speaking of TJoes, yesterday I got their new cookie for DD who is a real ginger fan.

Crispy Crunchy Ginger Chunk... delicious.

Re: Trader Joe's is not closing!

Never heard the joke or rumor but even if I had I would not have believed it because TJ'S is doing great financially. In fact they are going to lower prices on some thing to give customers an even better deal and give Whole foods a run for their money. Mine is always packed. Love to shop there!

The TJ's in my area are always packed!  I can't believe anyone could fall for this due to their known financial stability ! 😂

Re: Trader Joe's is not closing!

A store being busy doesn't always indicate financial stablity.   Esp. since your area could be different from other areas regarding that store.  At any rate, busy doesn't necessariily equate to financial stability.
