An Italian judge has cleared a janitor of groping a teenager in school because it only lasted 5-10 seconds. 

The incident occurred in a Rome high school in April 2022. The janitor admitted to the act but said he was just joking around.

According to Associated Press, Italian social media sites are filled with posts protesting the decision.

If the judge had a daughter, same age as the high school student, and she was groped, would he be so cavalier about the act? Ridiculous ruling! 
Regardless of age, it's not appropriate.

Like @Pezzie said, it doesn't matter what age. Secondly, 5 seconds is a long time to be groping anyone, anywhere. Look at a watch for 5 seconds and anyone can see that is far too long and not a joke or accident. Ten seconds? Geez.

It’s not the amount of time. It’s the act itself. It only takes 5 seconds of trauma to last her a life time.

This decision is absolutely disturbing..... Why is this behavior toward minors, being normalized??? 🤬🤬🤬

Who is normalizing this behavior? Seems to me 100% here think it's outrageous.

Nobody I know or have ever known thinks this kind of behavior is ok.

I think someone should ask the judges that were on the panel if they've done something similar. That could be why the janitor was let off and they should've recused themselves.
