I posted earlier about possible storms and hail coming. I had to get offline, we had a Tornado touchdown in St. Louis County and City. Apartment buildings had windows blown out, trees down in Forest Park. Very scary , I went to the basement of my apartment, hail and high winds but no damage to my car, I had it in covered parking. I'm watching the news now showing city trucks going to the areas where trees are down and blocking the roads. I hope everyone in the area is safe, haven't heard of any loss of life yet. I pray all are safe!

My daughter used to have an apartment in Forest Park. About 10 years ago. So sorry to hear this.
edit to add: What happened to the Arch Effect?? ( A conspiracy theory that the Arch can control the weather).

Seems like every day for weeks there have been reports of terrible rain, flooding, tornadoes and hail in parts of the country. I feel so sorry for people who have to live through this trauma.
Take care of yourselves.

The news is showing huge trees laying on cars of apartment building dwellers and over the streets in the Forest Park and the city area. I don't think we've had a Tornado directly in the city of St. Louis in several years.

When my daughter moved to St Louis I did a lot of research on things to do and see there and we made regular family trips there. I ran across a weird conspiracy theory that the Arch could control the weather. We would always say she would be safe from storms. Not something I believe in, but we just always kind of joked about it. I am so sorry to hear and see the pictures of huge trees uprooted and the damage. I truly hope all will be safe.
