I think they both need to find some real jobs!!!!! Dean is not a bad actor, I have seen him in a couple of lifetime movies, Tori as well, although they were definitely older movies, but I think her jewelry line bombed at HSN,so I am not sure what else they can do, but they need to think of something rather quickly from the sound of it.......I wonder how much her mom helps out financially??? What does her brother do? How is he living I wonder??

I don't think her mom gives her squat.

These people are not even on my radar and neither are their finances. In addition anything in print I take with a grain of salt EVEN IF IT DID MATTER. It doesn't though.

I get the feeling her mom may be trying to teach her a lesson. Tori is another affluenza kid, the lesson is coming late, but the only way to learn it is to suffer through the pain until the light goes on.

If you can believe this article, what happened to all the money they made during their years-long reality show(s)?  Surely they must have been well paid.

I think the answer is Tori was raised lavishly.  She is used to living that way - having the best homes, the best cars, the best of everything.  That takes a lot of money, esp. with all those kids and in California where the cost of living is very high.  She and Dean spend too much for what they've made, apparently.  If the article is to be believed, the haven't put money away when they were earning it, like from the reality show.

I remember one of the early reality shows where, due to financial difficulties, they had to move.  And then I saw the places they were looking at to buy. Holy cow!  Of course they weren't anything like the largest, most expensive house is California that Tori was raised in, but for goodness sakes.  They were all "the lap of luxury" as far as I was concerned.  I don't think she's wiling to go below a certain standard of living, which isn't what she was raised in but certainly isn't "middle class" either.  Therein lies the problem.

As for Dean, IMO he's one of the worst actors I've ever seen. He always sounds to me like he is reading his lines off a piece of paper!

So tragic...another case of terminal affluenza. These people have no clue about how to live a normal life. They are prepared to do nothing yet their expectation of reward is likely quite high. I think they should take what money they have left, go to the local college, community or four year, and prepare for real jobs.

There's a site with celebrity net worth.

I don't think this site is all that reliable.

But her mom did/does give her money.  Her mom said she's paid Tori's rent and for the kids' education.

@shoekitty I have a question.  Why would she have been lucky to see $500,000 out of an $800,000 inheritance.  Are you saying CA residents have ot pay tax on an inheritance or do you think the rest went to legal fees because she was in a legal battle to get that money?

Here in Ohio, we don't pay taxes on inheritances for the most part.  Of course if you are the beneficiary of an annuity or IRA there are tax consequences.

Actually, there's a short interview on TMZ where a reporter asked her mother Candy if she intended to help with their debt situation and Candy said that she already pays for their home, food and necessities, but refuses to pay for her "extravagances".

@Lipstickdiva, I'm sure one of the legal eagles here can help with this. When my dad died a couple of years ago, there were no tax implications for estates valued at $5M or less. Her daddy's was much larger than that, no doubt.
