Re: Topcashback Rebates

[ Edited ]

My problems with TCB happen with only a few sites. Qvc is only one of them. I had missing rebates from other specific retailers consistently. I don't know what it is that does it but TCB mentioned that anti-virus/malware software can sometimes interfere with posting rebates. But why only specific websites??

@SilleeMee,  this is only a guess but it may have something to do with specific trackers a site has.  For example on this page one of my blockers indicate there are 48 .coms receiving information.

On one site I frequent I can only view a live linked Amazon product if I turn off my blocker but in that instance I know which tracker it involves.  Unfortunately, that one is "home" to a multitude of other trackers.

I have not ordered from the Q in over 10 years, but I have been using the rebate sites for 15 years, I cant wait to see how this turns out with TCB, it sure has me stumped. Please keep us posted if any new developments on this mystery.  And the best of luick to all those who have been affected by this.

I only had 2 QVC purchases on TCB and they're gone too.

I had already stopped going through them because there's always something going on where I don't get my purchases tracked.

I am only using Rakuten now.  Lower rates, but I have never had an issue.
I guess I'll be putting in 2 claims now.

I had my purchases wiped out as well, but I use Mr Rebates. I checked back the following day and they were all restored. Must have been a computer glitch.

@SilleeMee @Marp , I have had problems for MONTHS with TCB & both HSN.  Nothing tracks from either since June 2022.  I would have to resort to putting in a claim for each one, and I had extra problems if I ordered more than one item in an order because the available transaction date would disappear once used and you can't put multiple purchases in a claim.

I came to the conclusion that one of my extensions was interfering, so the next time I placed an order I turned off the last two extensions I had installed.  I don't remember any of my other extensions being new enough to be the problem.  However, the order didn't track.

Finally, the last time I ordered, I used an Incognito window which turns off all extensions for that window and then you don't have to worry about turning extensions off and back on.  There's also a button when you open that window that says Block Thrid-Party Cookies.  I left that turned off.  Lo and behold, that transaction finally tracked and is the one that is now declined.  So frustrating.  So, I finally figure out to just do all my purchases via an Incognito Window, which means I have to open the Cash Back app in said window and then my cash back gets declined.  Ugh.

Hope this makes sense.  I didn't really understand everything Marp said earlier.  I just know I have had issues with extensions in the past causing problems with certain sites.

I have an update - all of my missing rebates on TCB have been restored.  There must have been a qlich as others suggested since the issue was resolved so quickly.

I hope everyone else gets their rebates reinstated, as well.
