Top load washer (without agitator) comments & recommendations?

My current washer is failing quickly, so I've started shopping for a new machine. I've used a top load Maytag for years, and have been very happy with it. I'm afraid of the mold issues with the front loaders. Our washer is right off the kitchen, and will not be able to leave the door open as recommended to prevent the mold. I've seen top loaders without agitators. Has anyone used these, and how do you feel about them? I leaning towards the LG or Samsung, and would love to hear your experience with any of them. Thanks ahead for any help!
