It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World - (big names and fun to watch)
White Christmas - (love the dance scenes, set, actors and locale

I have sooo many favorites as TVM is my favorite channel but I will go with
The Best Years of Our Lives--about the return of solders from WW2. Goldwyn received the Oscar for best movie, Wm Wyler for direction along with Fredric March and Harold Russell
Some Like It Hot with Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis written & directed by Billy Wilder
Now Voyager--"a tear jerker" but I do not carestarring Bette Davis, Paul Henreid and Claude Rains and Gladys Cooper as her mother. It is from a series of books by Olive Higgins Prouty. It is one of the first movies about psychotherapy. This a work of fiction but Olive Higgins Prouty had been through psychotherapy and been in a sanitarium. See it with a box of tissues

Wuthering Heights (1939) a famous tragic wild romance
Dr. Zhivago (1965) romantic drama with a focus on Russian history
My Man Godfrey (1936) a funny look at socialites
My mother's favorite is The Wizard of Oz, (1939) which she saw when it first came out, and said the color component transfixed the audience, since all had been in black and white previously.
My dad's favorite was Wings (1927), which he saw when he was little. This movie won the first ever Academy award for best picture. My dad said he cried because the airplanes crashed.

Casablanca starred Ingrid Bergman not Lauren Bacall. Both women were so stunning in their day.
