there are so many but keep it down to three (3).

Bell Book & Candle - Kim Novak, James Stewart

The Thrill of It All - Doris Day, James Garner

Gidget movies with Sandra Dee

There is one with Joan Crawford but I cannot remember the name of it so I left it out.  Joan was a restaurant owner.  Share your top 3.

Off the top of my head

Casablanca

African Queen

Notorious

@Katcat1   I think the Joan Crawford movie you're thinking of is Mildred Pierce for which JC won the Oscar.

Actually, my absolute favorite movie of all time is Gidget Goes Hawaiian, thus my nickname here.

I don't know why, but I love that movie.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

To Sir, With Love

Psycho

Home from The Hill

Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte

Pillow Talk

It's safe to say that if these are airing, I'll stop what I'm doing to watch.

@kaydee50    thank you, yes, that is it.  She was excellent in the movie and so was her daughter.    That is when movies were movies.

@gidgetgh   A lot of movies at that time were fun -- no killings and violence just clean, fun movies.

How Green Was My Valley -- I adore this movie and have a good cry at the end every time.

Mrs. Miniver -- love it for so many reasons

More that I can't think of but these are two I love.

@gidgetgh I also enjoy that movie, much more than the original Gidget. So much overacting but still fun.
