Hi Mick Smile

Costco comes out as the best of all and I keep hearing that it's such a great place to work. Working there is a career path, upward mobility, good pay and health benefits for almost all. I don't know who isn't covered because it's everyone at our local Costco.

I suggest Costco to many people seeking a job. I like that they seem to hire older workers. I rarely see a worker there who looks unhappy. I am surprised to see Whole Foods on that list though. At one time UPS had a good rep.

I would have thought Starbucks would score higher, but no. They've had a pretty good rep.

Chipotle came as a total surprise, but I don't really know anything about them. We finally got one within driving distance but I haven't been there.

The last time we were shopping at Costco, I commented to my husband that it looked as though most employees at our local store were over at least 30 years of age. Maybe the younger employees are scheduled during the evening hours.

Trader Joe's is another place that has a good rep for treating employees well and pays over minimum wage. You need to like Hawaiian shirts though--lol.

A few years ago when a grand nephew dropped out of college after 2 years, there was concern to say the least. His parents were supportive as long as he went to look for work. He did - and found a position with Wegman's which turns out to be a wonderful employer as well as a great place to shop.

I've noticed that, too. Maybe the younger ones start by stacking the shelves or moving product. Now that I think of it, they seem younger in the fast food for sale area. Geez, what would you call that? Certainly not a restaurant {#emotions_dlg.w00t}

Yeah, I wonder why that wasn't on the list? Although they did say the list only included big companies. Maybe TJoe's isn't that big, comparatively.
