Re: ~~ Too Many Unwanted Emails? ~~

I'm letting all the sales emails pile up until after Christmas then I will do a mass clean-out. That is, if they don't fill it to the max before then.

I subscribe to a several because I want to know what is being offered but this time of year its just crazy.

Everyone needs to read Chickenbutt's post, and ask questions if you don't understand it. Very important info.

I keep unsubscribing and the ads keep coming.

Re: ~~ Too Many Unwanted Emails? ~~

For the reason chickenbutt mentioned I mark them as junk mail so they drop into my junk box and I don't see them.

I have used the ""unsubscribe"" often when I get tired of those constant e-mails for stuff I won't ever be buying....

The unsubscribe button is your friend! E Mail is already the electronic version of junk mail. I get really put out when every store you purchase anything at wants your E Mail. When you ask why they want it the cashier will say "So, we can send you valuable offer." Em, No Thanks!

Re: ~~ Too Many Unwanted Emails? ~~

I used to go for the "send me fewer emails, like one a week rather than several a day, thanks" option, but the sellers who have that option seem to engage in mission creep. They cut down for a while, maybe even six months, and then they go right back to spam-bombing me again.

Opting out totally seems to work for most of those recidivists, apart from one persistent offender that I had to put on my block list.

The unsubscribe button has always been there. It's just a pain in the rear end to do it. Once I cleaned mine I just made a throw away one & give that to marketers.
