Has Katrina been unbanned??

@tansy  Who is that? Do you mean Kachina 626? Hard to imagine her existing without this board.

@Pearlee  @tansy  saw her on the other boards along with many others.  I will post on both and see how it goes.  I like options.

Simply because one has a different view of a topic doesn't mean s/he is right or wrong.

Some think it's okay to thank QVC; some don't. Some think it's okay to buy things from QVC to thank them; some don't. Some think it's too late that QVC decided to keep the boards; some don't. Some think the decision to do so was monetary; some don't.

@mspatmac  Well that certainly doesn't surprise me since this board seemed to be a big important part of her life.

Re: Too Little Too Late

[ Edited ]

While I think it was great that those who quickly set up the private site did it, I do not feel I was "unceremoniously dumped" by QVC.  I just liked the interactions and valuable info I got . There was no obligation for them to even have forums.  I'm glad they changed their minds!  I had many concerns about the security of the site that was quickly set up and wanted to check it out first to see if it was a site for anything goes no matter how nasty or a site to make fun of QVC hosts, etc.  Now that QVC has changed their mind,  I was dissapointed that all of a sudden the new site that I was still considering was locked in spite of being told many times that it would be  available for lurking for those that wanted to check it and decide whether they wanted to actually join until locked eventually!  That disinformation was to me worse than QVC deciding to shut down their forums.  Sounds like many on that site might be  biter and closing it suddenly may be  a way to hide some nasty posts about QVC and the mocking of posters happy to see QVC changed their mind!  I have no grudge against anyone and surely not QVC or those that set up the other site!

My only suggestion is to allow us to have debates, and conversations without poofing. As long as there is no cursing, threats, or bullying let us have the conversation. Stop with the censorship.

Some things don't need to be a shopping website.  They don't want to be associated with permitting controversial topics in their space.  They have this right.  It's their space.  If you're a shareholder you can certainly broach the subject but if you're not ~ why dictate what a business should do if does not benefit them?

You can now go to proboards and talk all the controversial stuff you want.  Why not just be greatful you have options and stop expecting this company to cater to your social needs?

Guess you missed those buying products to thank QVC. Oh, well.

Actually, I think the folks on this forum over inflate how much people on this board spend. Look through any number of threads. Multiple people say they spend very little if any money at QVC.

@MG Chris

There are also some really big buyers on this board I know of a few...and some personally.

While I don't know a single person who posts here personally, that I know of anyway, I do see some posting continually about packages arriving almost daily from QVC. IMO, they have a serious shopping addiction but that is not mine to decide. But to the point made here, yes, I do think that is QVC's only consideration, especially here at the holidays. Most businesses are either made or broke by the holiday business. The fact they didn't consider that fact before kicking the forum users to the curb, well, that's a serious oversight and makes me wonder how they are managing the other parts of their business.

This.  That's part of why they feel entitled to have these forums, because..... because they spend soooo much money here.....doncha ya know?

@gertrudeclosetWhy don't you spend a little more time reading the post and less time with a response. First of all who said "controversial"? Oh you did. Who said I want to "dictate their business"? Oh you did. Who said I want to go to any board to talk about "controversial stuff"? Oh you did. Who asked QVC to cater to my social needs? Oh you did.
